Regional Govenment

The town of Lone Pine is not incorporated and has no direct town governing body. The predominant governing body is Inyo County providing funding and administration for services. The County is managed by the Inyo County Board of Supervisors which consists of five Supervisors representing their districts in the county.

  • Police: Inyo County sheriff Department (Lone Pine Substation north end of Lone Pine by park) & California Highway Patrol (Lone Pine Substation one block  east of Dow Villa)
  • Fire Department: Volunteer with 2 stations (Lone Pine and Alabama Hills)
  • Zoning: Countywide, Inyo County Planning Department
